You know your company is doing well when... even a simple takeover rumor can take a stock that has been steadily declining and shoot it up more than 17% in a single day. We've been watching Apple climb the ladder of market power and this must be very nice confirmation for the Apple folks of that momentum, which doesn't appear to have much chance of slowing in the near future. If there was any doubt ten years ago about Steve Jobs' legacy, their shouldn't be anymore.
